Moving toward the handle you'll find that the metal is trimmed into a grid-like pattern and replaced with carbon composite inserts. These inserts are several times stronger than the metal they replace which gives the EXOGRID 2 not only its name, but it's unwavering durability. The grip is in good condition.  This bat is end loaded to provide more power.  I am only selling this because my son graduated from Little League and is now playing Babe Ruth.
